I decided to make a very simple form of guest book. With only one text area and no more
crap like fields for your email address, name or home page url. Just simple and plain as a real world guest book.
And also like a real guest book: HTML input is not allowed.
And a message to all guest book spammers: URLs in this guest book were automatically removed.
This is only a guest book. If you've questions or need support: Please visit our forum. We don't answer any questions here.
And please, for your own happiness: Don't leave your e-mail addresses in a public guest book. Spammers will love you.

I can't believe I actually have an operating apache service with mysql. I've been trying for eight years. When I see a unix "command line" I get a headache. Even a .tar file gives me a toothache. XAMMP ROCKS.
Did a Fantastic job for my first attemps for a windows based server.. and it's my first and only choise for my upcomming mygration to linux based hip (same old PII Junk :))

Hey all. Great piece of work! It's so easy to get going. The install and configure on Linux is even easier than on Windows! I'm running my whole company intranet with 26 different websites using XAMPP for Linux on a small Pentium III machine with Fedora 4. I have over 55000 thousand hits a day and the Apache server handles it comfortably. I use a mixture of various PHP scripts (mambo, joomla, drupal, SugarCRM, dotProject,...) and html pages to host these 26 websites. Well done. True German engineering.

Its excellent! I am using since many months both on Windows and Linux. I use it for training my PHP MySQL students.
