Can't you do one suitable for the real world?
One as easy as the one you have but secure enough to just install on the server and not have to worry about anything but the own scripts.
Well, I know, you're right - impossible task.
Great thing you did !

Thanks so much for this excellent (and excellently packaged) package! It was shocking, really, to see it come up so easily.
You should post a link to an Amazon wish-list or something...

This is what open-source is all about! People taking the knowledge, skills and talent they have gained and sharing it with the rest of the community. XAMPP, along with the Open Source Logicreate system has cut the installation of our servers dramatically. No more compliling, everything we need in one package! (Now if I could only get webDAV working! ;-) )

Danke Danke Danke!!!
This is EXACTLY what we needed to help us cut through all the clutter of individual package installs an setups and get a clean install instantly.
Thanks again for taking the time to put this together...

I've just delivered a web application using Apache 1.3.27 + OpenSSL + MySQL + Tomcat 4.0.6 (no Perl, no PHP, however).
What the hell! The installation manual has been kind of a nightmare, because of all the individual packages that had to be installed!
If I had had this package before... (just discovered it TODAY).
By the way, why don't you include TOMCAT too? In this way, you'd have a highly powerful server processing set of capabilities: PHP + Perl + Java (JSP + Servlets).
Oh! And I agree with [EMAILHIDDEN] I think that you should include instructions and / or scripts to configure Mercury. I'm also lost! If anybody call tell us how to do it, I'd like to receive a pointer to a web page or a file with instructions (English, spanish, catalan or french will do): jose.navarroREMOVE_THIS_[EMAILHIDDEN]
Jose.
Thanks for everything!

The Wampp bundle is great. All was easy to setup and install except for the Mercury Mail Server. I've been working on this thing for a couple days now and still can't figure it out. If anyone out there can give me step by step instructions (in English) on setting up the mail server, I'd greatly appreciate it. If you can help me, email me at [EMAILHIDDEN]

Hello Oswald! Gee, I thought setting up my computer as a server was going to cost an arm and a leg. Thanks a million (Euros?). You asked in an entry dated March 30th if there was a native english speaking person that could redo a couple of web pages. What would you like me to do and how do I go about it? Email me at [EMAILHIDDEN]

Is it just me or is th elatest version of MYSQL reall slow?
Thu 10 Apr 2003 05:39:01 PM CEST
I found a way to do cron jobs you can just use the wondows task amager to run the batch file. :D
Sun 06 Apr 2003 10:50:09 PM CEST
The web statistics were updated at the moment you call the result page. It's not the best but the simplest solution. ;)
Greetings, Oswald
Sun 06 Apr 2003 10:42:35 PM CEST
Erm does the server have support for cron jobs? Otherwise how is the webstats program script suppose to update itself?
Sun 30 Mar 2003 01:01:43 PM CEST
Dear Lian and all the other native english speaking people out there!
We know our english is not one of the very finest. Okay, as you say it's really a p.i.t.a. We know it. ;) But we are not able to speak a better one.
Is the someone out there who speaks english natively and who has the time to overdo one or two web pages of this site???
We would be very appreciative and I think all the other people who have to read theses pages were grateful too. ;)
