Gästebücher sind cool und auch wir wollten eins haben. Bei der Entwicklung unseres
Gästebuchs ist mir aufgefallen, dass bestehende Web-Gästebücher neben dem eigentlichen
Text mindestens noch nach einem Namen fragen, evtl.
noch nach einer E-Mail-Adresse und evtl. sogar noch nach einer Überschrift.
Gästebücher in der realen Welt tun das nicht. Sie bieten nur leere Seiten und Platz
um seine Nachricht an die folgende Öffentlichkeit zu hinterlassen. Man stelle sich
mal ein reales Gästebuch in Formularform vor... *kopfschüttel*
Die Folge dieser Gedanken ist dieses Gästebuch. Es bietet also einfach nur Platz an. Keine Formulare, keine Vorgaben
und somit freie Bahn für die eigene Kreativität.
Was und wie jemand schreibt ist ganz alleine sein (oder ihr) Ding. Bitte also nicht vergessen auch
sowas wie seinen Namen anzugeben. ;)
PS: HTML wird nicht erlaubt! ;)
PPS: Ganz alte Gästebucheinträge findet ihr hier. (Absichtlich - als Konserve - noch im alten
Design.)

Great product, bad decision with the Linux install paths. PLEASE let me choose what directory I want this in! I do not (now or at any time in the future) have any desire to screw with the permission in /opt/ so I can install and edit templates for the CMS system using save. (I also have no desire to ever use this as anything other than a localhost...) Using FTP for a localhost is ridiculous!

E ai povao da apache friends, cara excelente projeto esse. Sem o xampp a programação nao seria a mesma. Facil, funcional, e eficiente.
Só melhorem a questão de mudança de diretorios, do htdocs e do mysql->data. Estes deveriam ser mais maleaveis. Grato.

I had 3 weeks figuring out how to resolve the error 500! message from apache server and simply did not worked at all. Then I discover Xampp and installed, in 3 hours I have everything working on. The web site, FTp, Mysql, Php . I just have to mention that all the tips I got about how to Starting XAMPP 1.7.1... at boot didn’t work at all. Because I’m using Open Suse 11.1 I must use Yast2 to configure the run level parameters. But it was easy and work perfect.

i am setting up a local web server and have decided to use xampp i have recently migrated my garage corporation to ubuntu and were taking advantage of not being windows dependent.....it quite a worthwhile experience. thanks for the work and i'd love to contribute any way possible
