E assim como um livro de visitas do mundo real: não são permitidas tags HTML.

what a great bundle!!
This runs great and without issues, really.
Mysql is running at once without the known message " access denied for [EMAILHIDDEN]" and so on.

What a lucky man I am to have found XAMPP.
I have tried some other programs that promise to "easily install Apache, PHP & mySQL" but yours is the first to keep that promise.
I was surprised enough to even find that it worked on XP home, unlike other software.
I use PHP & mySQL with Flash so Ill be sure to recommend your product to others.

Xampp is as close to the top of "the best of the best for good software workmanship" as I've witnessed in nearly 20 years of involvement with "shared stuff" from the internet.

XAMPP is a delightful product. I was searching for an easy to install Apache server to do PHP/MySQL testing. I used a battered olf Pentium/500 with 256Mb runing on W98. Installation was a breeze, This has proven to be a stable, reliable and well integrated set of applications for the purpose.
We should support this project and this product.

xampp 1.4.7 for windows openssl is unable
to load config.
But hey thnx 4 Xampp really a nice applicationsuite. Smart 2 make difficult things simple. U guys rock !

the info page on xampp windows gives downloads for 1.4.4 but I already got the 1.4.6 ! Did I step back in time ? No because sourceforge shows a 1.4.7 windows version dated 18/09/2004.
Somebody should repair that.

This is a fine replacement for foxserve, which seems to be swimming with the fishes. I only wish you could start without the dos window. I'm sure there's a way... i'll figure it out. It would be nice to include that in the FAQ.

I just installed Xampp on my laptop and is an old dinosaur I now have a working productive web system, the install was a breeze ........ I had a small issue which was covered in the FAQ..... Read the eror logs these guys have done a lot on the logs and it does work. Now I am off to install all my PHP toys

I've been using Xampp for oh, a year now. I give it a hearty 10/10, never had any problems with it! Although there was one release back there which had mod_rewrite disabled ;-)

BTW is there any chance you can get KOHA([URLHIDDEN]) an open source library system software work with your system.
It could really help a lot of poor libraries around the world who can' afford the very costly software available in the market today and quite a number of strugling sysadmin wannabe like me.
Our library is so poor they can't afford a real programmer :-)

Your XAMPP works excedengly well. Just one sugestion: would be possible in future releases to choose what to install? Kind of per components/packages installation. Personally I do not use some of the software included (eg: Mercury Mail) but would like to add Python support when needed.

Thank-you, I've been trying to get to grips with apache,php and mysql and found it difficult to even understand were to start but with this software installed I've been able to achieve this goal and I am now playing with a booking room database. I'm new to this and in a few months I will probably laugh at how silly I've been. I'm currently runnning this on a win2003 server. Thanks again.
