I'm a geek and have been fighting with Apache, PHP, MySQL, Perl, etc for a very long time. If one breaks, my applications on my laptop don't run. Since my laptop is a mobile development "server" that can be a pain. I read about XAMPP yesterday and decided to give it a try today... I uninstalled Apache, MySQL, PHP, Perl, etc and trusted you all with my time because if it didn't work, I was going to be pretty upset. Wow oh wow. I feel like I'm a giddy school boy that just found the hole to the girls locker room! You install it and it just plain works! Within minutes of installing the basic package I've got everything installed that would have taken me over 48 hours to install and tweek to my liking not to mention I now have 1 place to control everything! Good god, you guys did a great job! I'll recomend this to ANYONE that will listen. I'm stationed in Germany and if I knew where the developers where - I'd buy them a few kegs of bier!
Just tried using Xampp to enable me to use Sugarcrm. Thanks everyone I have absolutely no experience with php, mysql apache and the install was flawless!

I just want to say congratulations on such a good job!
I have used Xampp for some time as a platform for testing and I just love it. You can install this effortlessly, carry it with you (I just read a comment from someone who runs it from a USB ;-)), make a very simple backup by copying the files... great!

He usado Xammp durante algún tiempo como plataforma de pruebas y me encanta. Puedes instalarlo sin problemas, llevarlo contigo (acabo de leer un comentario de alguien que lo lleva en su USB ;-)), hacer copias de seguridad de manera muy simple copiando los ficheros... ¡Fantástico!

I crashed my WASP server last night. I had little time today to set another one up. I need an installer that can pump Apache,SQL and PHP into my Window (therefore WASP). The previous installation took me almost 2 days before it becomes a server. Your Xampp installer is a very good thing. ANd the reason why I selected yours more than others; you have accelerator for PHP and graphic handling libraries included. You are a real friend.
