Small bug with big consequences: The backup function in version 1.7.3 was broken and that's now fixed in 1.7.3a. Sorry for the inconvenience! No other changes were made.
You can download the new version from our XAMPP for Linux page. [Oswald - 10. Januar 2010] New XAMPP for Windows and LinuxJust in time for Christmas: After the usual 2-week beta test phase, we can now announce the new "final" XAMPP version for public downloading.
In both versions we updated Apache (2.2.11), MySQL (5.1.30), PHP (5.2.8) and phpMyAdmin (3.1.1). The Linux version also contains the new MySQL storage engine PBXT (1.0.07-rc).
With this version our support of PHP 4 ends and from this version on PHP 4 is no longer shipped with XAMPP. After PHP 4 was officially no longer supported since the end of 2007 this was just a matter of time.
On the other hand XAMPP now supports the brand-new MySQL 5.1 database generation. If you're upgrading from MySQL 5.0 please take a look at MySQL's official Upgrading from 5.0 to 5.1 and Monty's critical "Oops, we did it again".
Updated versions for Mac OS X and Solaris will follow shortly.

このバージョンには: Apache (2.2.9), MySQL (5.0.51b), PHP (5.2.6), phpMyAdmin (2.11.7), mod_perl (2.0.4), OpenSSL (0.9.8h), and eAccelerator (0.9.5.3). が含まれています。

[Oswald - 12. Februar 2008] Again new betas for Windows and LinuxAnd again we're on our mission to keep XAMPP up-to-date and put the first beta version of the upcoming XAMPP release in our public beta download area.
New in this beta are: Apache (2.2.8), PHP4 (4.4.8 on Linux and on Windows 4.4.8RC2), Perl (5.0.51), phpMyAdmin (2.11.4), and FileZilla FTP Server (0.9.25) in the Windows version of XAMPP.
XAMPP beta versions are always for testing purposes only. There will be no upgrade packages from and to beta versions. To all testers: Many thanks in advance!!

新しいバージョンのXamppは、最新の安全なアップデートバージョンの PHP (5.2.3) と MySQL (5.0.45)を使っています。
