Apache Friends Guest Book

Hello Oswald! Gee, I thought setting up my computer as a server was going to cost an arm and a leg. Thanks a million (Euros?). You asked in an entry dated March 30th if there was a native english speaking person that could redo a couple of web pages. What would you like me to do and how do I go about it? Email me at [EMAILHIDDEN]

Is it just me or is th elatest version of MYSQL reall slow?

Thu 10 Apr 2003 05:39:01 PM CEST

I found a way to do cron jobs you can just use the wondows task amager to run the batch file. :D

The web statistics were updated at the moment you call the result page. It's not the best but the simplest solution. ;)

Greetings, Oswald

Erm does the server have support for cron jobs? Otherwise how is the webstats program script suppose to update itself?

Sun 30 Mar 2003 01:01:43 PM CEST

Dear Lian and all the other native english speaking people out there!

We know our english is not one of the very finest. Okay, as you say it's really a p.i.t.a. We know it. ;) But we are not able to speak a better one.

Is the someone out there who speaks english natively and who has the time to overdo one or two web pages of this site???

We would be very appreciative and I think all the other people who have to read theses pages were grateful too. ;)

Many Greetings
Oswald, Berlin, Germany

Looking forward to trying WAMPP. I'm clueless RE: how to add PHP and MySQL functionality to my otherwise bare-bones Apache server. Hopefully this will do the trick.

Thanks for all your work!

I really like your work and efforts you put in creating those packages. especially setting up a lamp was not that easy for me in the beginning.

so thx and keep up the good work. (although your english on this page often really is a pain i.t.a. ;) )

I was having a nightmare trying to make all these programes work together, and in Windows. Save me a great deal of time and pain. Keep up the great work and thank you.

I've downloaded and installed both LAMPP (on mandrake 9.0) an WAMPP (Win2K Server), and they work as a charm. An excellent package for newbies like me :-) Thank you!

People!
Seems you're bundling the latest versions. Anyway this's what I was looking for. Gonna try if it works as good as it sounds.

Your PHP and HTML files must stay in the /wamppxxx/htdocs directory. Then, you can show them with [URLHIDDEN] (for test.php p. example). Ok, the FAQs. I promise, I try to make these in this week (i hope :-)

Great!
you are way ahead from foxserv and phptriad.
but the thing that is NOT good to me:
apache 2.0 and mysql 4.0 are NOT included in the BIG brother pack.

Mon 13 Jan 2003 03:03:22 PM CET
