We are here (AFAIK) to help you fix problems with getting XAMPP to work correctly (and that seems to challenge many). That help does not extend to debugging your code/installations of scripts etc. If someone wants to help you with a non-XAMPP issue, fine. Its a courtesy, and that person is doing it out of the goodness of their heart (just like every other thing they do here). Its beyond the call of duty. The primary focus here is on making the XAMPP suite, as a whole, work properly. Remember all the helpers here are VOLUNTEERS, most with full-time jobs in IT or Development. They use their talents to help you get going, as they were helped in the past.
If you can connect to the XAMPP Welcome page and the 'parts' work (other than the Instant/WordArt - problems with GD development), and you can login on phpMyAdmin - then your XAMPP install is probably working correctly.
Good Luck with your projects.
