Problems with mySQL

Whenever I want to start mySQL on the Xampp Control Panel I get this error message
"Access violation at address 10002593 in module 'LIBMYSQL.dll' Read of address 00000000"

What do I do now? Any help will be appreciated.

a) don't write "mySQL" if you mean "WinMySQLAdmin".
b) don't use this program (e.g. admin link in CP).

Well I want to create a database on something dont know yet what as Im still learning.

Use phpMyAdmin, which has a GUI access to most MySQL processes including creating and managing databases, database users, their Privileges and their passwords etc.

http://localhost/phpmyadmin

Simply login using username root with no password in a default XAMPP installation.
