Problem with Apache 2

i cant figure out where my document root is at after installing apache2

i know this is a XAMPP thread just having a hard time finding help.

i have Apache2 with ubuntu installed

I followed this guide exactly and im stuck on finding where to put my folder at

I started my project on XAMPP but now im moving it to a live server.

I was also hoping for a tread in English as well. Good thing I speak Dutch so I can at least understand some of what is being said here in German.

I know that the Board Description is in german, but this forum is german/english multilanguage area.
