Can't get mod_rewrite to work

Postby ralph.mueller » 25. October 2011 02:38

Any of you folks has experience here?

I'm using Drupal 7 and would like to work with clean URL's, this module is a prerequisite to make it happen.

I changed httpd.config (actually, didn't have to change it, because the module was included), but still - doesn't load for some reason.

I tried it in a clean installation with no changes - no success.

Any experience out there?

I'm using Mac OS X 10.8, latest available XAMPP download for Mac OS X

Thanks, Ralph

Hellp Ralph,

please take a look into your phpinfo() and check there if in the section apache2handler the output of Loaded Modules includes mod_rewrite.

If not, mod_rewrite isn't successfully loaded,
if yes, mod_rewrite is running but doesn't take effect where you want to use it.

best wishes,
