Stopping Mysql

I have a problem with stopping Xamp Basic, using the shortcut,
I set up a password for the root and after that the Xamp Basic Stop doesn't quit mysql.



I tried to put the password in c:\xamp\mysql\bin\my.ini but it doesn't change?

Can anyone help?
