Apache Friends XAMPP 2012 Survey

Last May XAMPP became 10 years old and we think this is a good time to think again about changes and improvements to XAMPP. That's what this survey is for: to find out what are your needs and what we can do to improve XAMPP in future releases.

The survey will run for about one month (until end of September), after which we will publish the results right here.

Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey. We appreciate your feedback and we will use it to make XAMPP even more useful and enjoyable. ;)

If there are any questions you don't want to answer, you don't have to. You choose.

* Privacy

This whole survey is absolutely anonymous. We don't collect any personally identifiable information at all.

The Questions

The orders of questions and answers are determined randomly and are not subject to any preferences.

This survey is closed because validity period has expired!

This survey consists only of these 8 questions you see on this page. There are no more pages.

In which sector do you use XAMPP?

We're just curious. ;) But seriously, the answer to this question could become important in relation to other questions, we're asking. For example, if you use XAMPP on a more personal basis, features like scalablilty or high availability may not be so valuable for you.

What are your wishes for a future XAMPP?

If you have any wishes for future versions of XAMPP, please let us know what you think. Yes, the possible answers are very general and unspecific, but it's a question about the future and we want to keep it as open as possible. Please feel free to use the "something else" field, if you have other or more specific ideas.

In what kind of environment are you using XAMPP?

Depending upon the environment XAMPP may need other default configuration settings to fit its purpose. Currently we're focusing on developers and use a very open (but insecure) configuration. And this is obviously not a good idea for a system used in production.
