In all versions we updated Apache to 2.2.8, PHP4 to 4.4.8 and phpMyAdmin to 2.11.4. The Linux and Mac OS X versions contain also updated Perl (5.10.0) and MySQL (5.0.51a) releases.

[Oswald - January, 26th 2008] Merry X'mas with new XAMPP versions!With new versions of XAMPP for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X we wish you all a merry christmas, snow on your server farm and a warming processor in everyones heart! ;)
In all three Xmas gifts we updated MySQL to 5.0.51, PHP to 5.2.5 and phpMyAdmin to 2.11.3. But we didn't update Perl because the new 5.10.0 seems to be a development version, and in XAMPP we only support "stable" versions.

[Oswald - December, 24th 2007] XAMPP: New betas for Windows and LinuxTwo of XAMPP's four main components were updated within the last few days and now we're ready with the first beta version of the next XAMPP release.
New in this beta are: PHP5 (5.2.5), MySQL (5.0.51), phpMyAdmin (2.11.3), and some Windows-specific packages in the Windows version of XAMPP.

[Oswald - December, 15th 2007] New XAMPP versions for Linux, Windows, and Mac OS XThe autumn comes, and besides of chilliness and early gingerbread it brings also new versions of XAMPP for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.
In all versions we updated Apache to 2.2.6, PHP to 5.2.4 and phpMyAdmin to 2.11.1. (Find more details on the specific download page.) I'm sorry to say, but under Windows we currently have problems with the new Apache and mod_perl, which doesn't work at all. We hope to find a solution soon.
Another great news: The Mac OS X version is now available as Universal Binary and runs now also on older PowerPC-based Macs.

[Oswald - October, 8th 2007] New betas of XAMPP for Linux and WindowsSorry, the MySQL conference in Japan and my vacation came up, but now we're finally ready to annouce the next (and hopefully last) beta of the next XAMPP release.
New in this beta are: PHP5 (5.2.4), Apache (2.2.6), phpMyAdmin (2.11.1), and eAccelerator (0.9.5.2).

[Oswald - October, 1st 2007] New version of XAMPP 1.6.3 for Windows and LinuxThe Apache Friends team is proud again to announce a new version of XAMPP for Linux and Windows. The new version of XAMPP includes fresh, green and up-to-date versions of: PHP (5.2.3) and MySQL (5.0.45). In case of Linux we also upgraded phpMyAdmin to the recent 2.10.3.
