Apache Friends Guest Book

Everyone has a guest book. And we also. ;)

I decided to make a very simple form of guest book. With only one text area and no more crap like fields for your email address, name or home page url. Just simple and plain as a real world guest book.

And also like a real guest book: HTML input is not allowed.

And a message to all guest book spammers: URLs in this guest book were automatically removed.

This is only a guest book. If you've questions or need support: Please visit our forum. We don't answer any questions here.

And please, for your own happiness: Don't leave your e-mail addresses in a public guest book. Spammers will love you.

I've just downloaded and install successfully your XAMPP full package. I really like it, since I have a hard time to figure out how to make Apache v2.2.2, Php v5.1.4 and Mysql v5.0.2x to work together and now your package is my real answer. :-)

Thanks a lot, and keep up the good work!

I'm looking for future upgrade and more add-ons. :-)

Sun Jul 30 14:38:09 2006

Starts XAMPP.

Sun Jul 30 11:29:52 2006

I discovered XAMPP a few versions agao - and besides creating the best turn-key LAMPP out there, you guys have kept adding value, first with the lite versions, then different platforms... my last testbed install ( 5 in total now..) is on Damn Small linux on a celeron 433 with 128mb of ram, and runs as well as on production machines at work... Thank you ..

p.s - can you share to code to create and display the coutry visits by IP, very nice work... edu.au web developer

I use XAMPP with kanotix Linux and it's superb, I wish I had found it ages ago . I had all sorts of problems with separate installs. This is an all in one solution and it's great. 10 out of 10 for XAMP.

Great stuff. I've tried Bitrock and Spikesource, but XAMPP/linux did it for me. With pre-configured SSL and a easy to back up directory structure. Moved my intranet to a new server in a breeze.
Greetings Jerry.

Mon Jul 17 02:44:15 2006

Thanks for the awesome program!

It's so easy to get Apache up and running with PHP and stuff now. :)

Sun Jul 16 04:10:40 2006

guys anyone having this problem ?
when running eclipse for code testing accessing database (using xampp), the pv.exe gets called again and again. The problem is the memory used by pv.exe stays and stacks in memory usage, and after running tests several times, I have stacked 100M in my memory usage not knowing how to delete them. I'm running in Windows XP SP2 btw.

can someone please help me... I recently downloaded xampp in hopes of setting up my own server... I have since run into some roadblocks and hope you can help a noob iron them out... I need to get ftp up and running and figure out what my "host-name" is for external access and where do I actually put the website I want to create on this - I assume somewhere inside the xampp directory, but I have no clue where

Sun Jul 9 18:25:02 2006

Hi, I'm new to mysql and php, but I want to try and build my own online DB and PHP pages as I can't afford to pay a coder. Is there anyone here who can help explain how I can access my database and add and change data from the 127.0.0.1 default?

My installation is the normal: program files/xampp.

The htdocs, php, and mysql folders reside inside the xampp folder. Ans my database is in the mysql/data folder. How to access and change stuff in it rather than using php, yadmin?

If anyone has a few moments, I would be really grateful for any help they can give.

Cheers

Ric

Outstanding package and the documentation is a perfect match. It makes new users of Linux and apache learn much more quickly just simply being able to install it all in a matter of a few minutes.
No more hunting and picking thru countless documents.

Thanks
