 Hinter dem Apache Friends-Projekt stehen viele Menschen. Auch wenn Kay und ich alleine angefangen haben so wuchs uns doch die Arbeit sehr schnell über den Kopf. Vor allem der Beantwortung der Fragen im Forum waren wir kaum noch in der Lage nachzukommen.
Zum Glück hat sich über die Monate und Jahre ein kleines vielseitiges Team herausgebildet, das uns bei unserer Idee unterstützte. So wuchs die Zahl der Apache Friends bis heute stetig.
Diese Seite stellt einen Anfang dar einen Überblick über die Mitwirkenden zu geben. 
 Oswald is the webmaster, forum admin, and co-founder of Apache Friends. He's also the maintainer of XAMPP for Linux, Solaris, and Mac OS X.
He graduated 1999 from Technical University of Berlin with a Diplom-Informatiker degree (equivalent to a Master in Computer Science). In the 90's he created and managed Germany's biggest IRCnet server irc.fu-berlin.de, and co-managed one of the world's largest anonymous FTP server ftp.cs.tu-berlin.de.
He is truly an early bird to Internet having professionally set up his first public webserver in 1993.
From 1993 until 1998 he was member of the internationally renowned "Projektgruppe Kulturraum Internet", a Berlin-based research project on net culture and network organization.
In 2006, his third book, Das XAMPP-Handbuch, was published by Addison Wesley.
From 2009 to 2011, he served as Technology Evangelist for Web Tier Products at Sun Microsystems/Oracle.
On the right you see a very early photography of him. Kay ist verantwortlicher Entwickler der Windows-Versionen von XAMPP. Zusammen mit Oswald hat er 2002 das Apache Friends-Projekt gegründet.
Er arbeitet als selbstständiger Systemprogrammierer und ist mit Oswald zusammen Fachbuch-Autor.

 Paul Hinz
 Paul comes to Apache Friends with over 20 years of engineering and product strategy experience in startup, government and Fortune 500 companies. He has unique experience in the fostering of open source communities and open source software product strategies alike. Currently Paul is the Chief Marketing Officer for Liferay, and on several Technical Advisory Boards. Before joining Liferay, Paul led strategies for Java EE, the GlassFish open source stack including the Sun WebStack, Sun/Netscape Web Server plus several others, and was Sun Microsystems' strategist for portals and collaboration while additionally coordinating with the MySQL team for open source marketing and sales. Prior to Sun, Mr. Hinz held multiple positions including Sun-Netscape, OSI, Hewlett-Packard and for the California Department of Transportation Research Laboratory.
Paul holds a B.S. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from California State University, Sacramento and a Masters of Business from the University of Maryland.
